The Story Behind Cooper Science

Alexandria Cooper
Elementary Science Education Expert & Founder of Cooper Science

Hi! I'm Alexandria Cooper, founder of Cooper Science.

For more than 10 years, I have served in elementary education as a classroom teacher, science instructional leader, and STEAM instructional coach, supporting teachers in delivering high-quality science instruction through research-based best practices.

As an instructional coach, I saw firsthand the challenges teachers faced trying to create engaging, hands-on science experiences while balancing the many demands of the classroom. By coaching teachers and implementing effective instructional strategies, I helped improve fifth-grade GMAS Science scores by 40% in one year, demonstrating the impact that strong instruction and teacher support can have on student achievement.

Those same research-based practices became the foundation of Cooper Science. I created Cooper Science to give teachers a complete, ready-to-teach elementary science curriculum that promotes scientific discovery, critical thinking, and meaningful hands-on learning while providing educators with the instructional support they need to teach science with confidence.

Today, I also partner with schools and districts through consulting services to strengthen elementary science instruction, build teacher capacity, and improve student science achievement.
